Public Involvement Process
The project includes several opportunities for project stakeholders to provide input about the project. Stakeholder participation is essential to the success of the project.
During the Study phase, there will be two public meetings and a public hearing. In addition to the large meeting venues, the MCDOT is forming a Community Advisory Group (CAG) to assist with the project. The CAG will meet with County officials and TranSystems, the project consultant, throughout the study phase of the project.
Meetings are only a part of the overall outreach plan. A project website has been created to provide a dedicated site to distribute and receive project information. Newsletters will be prepared to inform the public and project stakeholders of current project work and progress.
After the project has completed the study and design phases, a Preconstruction Open House meeting will be scheduled before the construction phase begins.
